“Meraki” Pronounced “Mah-Rah-Kee”
This is a word that modern Greeks often use to describe what happens when you leave a piece of yourself (your soul, creativity or love) in your work. “Knowing Your Why” is when you love putting your heart and passion into your creations. That is what creating jewelry means to me. I have a degree in the Arts and have enjoyed many different types of art over the years but this is my true love and one I enjoy the most. I love experimenting with the different metals, techniques and now beading. My latest creations are wire wrapped stones which are one of a kind. I now also offer Silver and Sterling Silver pieces.
What Is Copper?
Copper is a natural element that has a distinctive color. The metal is a brownish pink color that reminds many people of rose gold. The use of copper to create jewelry and artwork can be traced back to Roman times. Easy to shape and work, copper lends itself to texturing and folding. There are so many beautiful effects that can be created with this precious metal. Copper is also the traditional 7th wedding anniversary gift, making our copper jewelry pieces popular gifts.
Copper, the other precious metal, offers a beautiful natural tone that looks really good when worn and is a beautiful option to wearing silver or gold. Since 100% of copper can be recycled without any loss of its original mined quality, over 80% is still in use today. In addition, some wearers of copper find it may offer possible health benefits. It is a common belief that Copper, when worn next to the skin, offers energy and healing benefits that help with the inflammation and joint stiffness of Arthritis. The body uses copper for proper bone, nervous system, joint, and circulatory system health.
